Hello FutureMe,
You might be feeling a tad guilty for not doing as much practises as you would have imagined yourself to be doing since you signed up for this four days back.
But I swear, it's much greater progress than you have ever done before.
Small steps forward, but it's a great leap mentally. WOOTS!!!
Calls for celebration really. You've been consciously making observations of everything around you, the cylinders on the tubes, the cubes in the doors, the spheres and pyramid extensions on people's faces and heads.
Which reminds me of the guy I saw in the queue at the custom (still find it amusing we spent close to 1/4 of the day on travel just across the little border. And two hours advancing in that queue, that was basically less than a hundred metres. and being in the same space as a thousand plus people for such a long time. on hindsight it was a magnificent change to sketch) who was sketching. He did in green highlighter... and then he was marker-ing these portraits, and as all curirous sketchers do, it was reall cool to see him flipping through his sketchbook and seeing his past works, i was intrigued, and would have a struck a conversation if not for my company (Cos i shy...) hahaha and the lack of a filled sketchbook of mine to swap and say Hi.
Really though, a sketchbook filled with mediocre drawings counts much more than a sketchbook with only one of two considerably okay drawings. u learn through doing, it is the process of creation that makes u more skilful.
One more week ahead of daylight to work hard at your own leisure pace.
Courses I want to complete:
By 26/9 Mon - How to Draw Everything
Drawing Fundamentals
How to Ink (Just in time for Inktober!!)
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!
